Mid Tipp Day Trip

As you plan your programmes for the coming year, we would like you to consider a trip or indeed a return trip to Cabragh Wetlands.

We are always pleased to welcome school and other groups to the Cabragh Wetlands to our child centred environmental awareness programme. Here children will have the opportunity to walk around an unspoilt environment, view the community of life in a pond, visit a bird hide and in a fun way learn to identify the various different birds and their songs. Viewing life through a microscope opens up a whole new and amazing world for children. They learn about trees in an interactive engaging way. They will get the chance to see stuffed animals up close and learn about how they interact with each other. Other activities include orienteering and much more!

What we offer is based on the programme for Primary Science. Our experience is that children are drawn to the natural world and also that it brings out the best in them.

Day Trip in Mid-Tipp.

There is a further option for the coming year. We can now offer bookings together with Pallas Hill Open Farm. It will allow a school taking a day out, to spend part of the day here at Cabragh Wetlands, and have a different and equally enjoyable experience at Pallas Hill.

Pallas Hill Open Farm (or Ella's farm) is a working open farm where the children can feed the animals, experience the adventure playground and playpark, paint, draw, play with sand, playdough and games indoors, picnic both inside and outside, and tour the farm with Ella. Ella is an experienced childcare worker, and has been running playschool and primary school tours on the farm for several years now.
