Cabragh Wetlands Cycle

Fundraising cycle event at Cabragh Wetlands. Registration from 9.30am. 25/06/17
100km €20, 50km €15, Family cycle, 10km, €10
Start times: 100km @ 10am, 50km @ 11am, Family cycle @ 12.15pm.
Helmets must be worn by all participants.
Refreshments provided.

Farming-developing a sustainable future

A talk by Thomas Ryan will take place at Cabragh Wetlands on April 19th at 8pm entitled ‘ Farming- developing a sustainable future’

Thomas Ryan is the IFA’s Environment Executive. A graduate of UCD, DIT and the Irish Management Institute. Thomas has degrees in Agricultural Science and Property Studies, and a diploma in Business Management. He previously worked with Kerry Group plc and currently represents IFA on two recycling organizations IFFPG and Farm Plastic Recycling Ltd. He is an associate member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland and a member of the Agricultural Science Association. He is also the Programme Manager of the resource efficiency initiative, Smart Farming.

Pilgrim Path Walk

A pilgrim path/solidarity walk from Thurles to Holycross will take place on Saturday the 15th of April for all faiths and none. Registration at the Cathedral from 9:30 a.m. The walk will commence at the town park at 10:30 a.m. Refreshments will be available at Holycross. Registration costs €10 per person of €20 for a family.

Take Time Out

Cabragh Wetlands in conjunction with Helena Mullaney and Michael Long are offering a Mindfulness programme and awareness of our environment based on the new story for four Saturday mornings from 11a.m to 1a.m starting Saturday the 18th of March. The programme will encompass Quiet Time, Relaxation and Healing in a stress free environment.

Outdoor clothing essential. Cost = €50 for 4 sessions.
