hi – I’m wondering if I need to register for the Bird Watch Ireland day on 3 august and if there is a charge for this event?

Hi Joan this is a free event event being run by Bird watch Ireland and registration is not necessary
However we would like to know how many we may have so you can do this through our Facebook page
any tickets left for the all Ireland in thurles ye were selling last sunday o r Saturday in thurles please I want one or two how much are they thanks .;

I’m interested how you got the wetlands preserved. I have some bog and would love to see it preserved and not damaged. but there is little funding as far as I know. Not able to donate the area.

Cabragh Wetlands falls within the lower Suir S.A.C.(Special area of conservation). One of the reasons for this is because it is deemed nationally important for migrating birds. I attach a link for wetlands around the country and their current status. Hope this is of some benefit to you

We enjoyed our visit to Cabragh a few months back thanks very much.
I just want to mention to you that there is a barn owl resident here on the farm in Cappamore, Co Limerick. I guess that’s good news as I understand they are in decline.
Please let me know if there is anything I need to do to protect him.
