The Cabragh Wetlands Trust is a charity organisation and is relying solely on the goodwill of benefactors and volunteers for the maintenance and development of the centre. With the conservation of the site and the essential infrastructure in place, the Trust is now focusing on its second main aim, namely education. Although Cabragh Wetlands has the magnificent outdoors to offer and a beautiful information centre further work needs to be done.
We have recently started a "blog" on which we hope to update news about events at the wetlands. We would also like people to email us their experiences, sightings of birds, plants or animals (common or rare!), photographs, drawings etc that we could put on the blog to show the range of activities and nature available here. if sending pictures please keep the file size below 100kb as broadband is not available in the Wetlands yet! Email any submissions to thesnipe@cabraghwetlands.ie or visit the blog here
Other areas in which volunteers are needed include marketing, designing of brochures and posters, scientific research, organising events, running a coffee shop, fund raising and many more. If you wish to become involved please contact us or attend our monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of each month in the centre at 8.30pm. Anything you can do, no matter how little or how large, is appreciated!
Our email address is info@cabraghwetlands.ie
Thank you!
